Public Meeting -- September 23, 2004

The City of Galt held an Open House scoping session providing residents and businesses with an opportunity to help determine the proper scope of the environmental analysis for reconstructing the Central Galt Interchange.  An Environmental Impact Report is being prepared in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, and an Environmental Assessment is being prepared to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act.

The comments the public provided will be used to help identify the potentially significant environmental impacts that should be analyzed in depth in the EIR/EA and those that may not need to be studied in as much detail.

The Open House also provided the public with the opportunity to review and provide comments on the three alternatives as currently envisioned.
